2017 Recap + Life Updates !

Hello everyone! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season! I know, it’s been quite awhile since I’ve posted, so I wanted to recap my 2017 and update you all of important information!

Well first, I want to acknowledge why I haven’t been posting. It’s not because I don’t want to, but because I want to put out content that is truly a representation of me; and not just putting out content because I haven’t put anything out. I changed my insta from @ fashionmysize to @ savannahh.luy. I did this in hopes of making my blog more personalized, so I can focus on more than just style. In the future I do want this blog to be a place where I talk about anything and everything from style to lifestyle! If I could describe 2017, I would mention how I feel that I’ve grown as a person. I threw myself into a bunch of activities to see where I fit in, found myself unhappy, but here I am coming back to this. It’s always fun to try new things, but sometimes I feel that all these new things I try to pursue isn’t who I am. And I found a quote on pinterest, (thank goodness for pinterest) that I can sooo deeply relate to, and it says “Maybe the journey isn’t so much about becoming anything. Maybe it’s about unbecoming everything that isn’t really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place”. I always pushed myself to be something I’m not, and I never realized how important it was to embrace the things that I love. I’m glad that I’ve always had this blog to fall back on, where I can truly be myself. I’ve just remembered to do the things I love, because I can do that, be a happy and become more successful of person.

I’ve learned about my friendships and high school too! It is so important to not stress about the little things, and to GET SLEEP, which I’m finally falling into a routine of. I’ve also learned a lot about me, the way I work, and about my strengths and weaknesses. I’ve learned that I need to take care of myself and that happiness is important.

ALSO! My sister and I started a photography account this year, because it’s something we have always loved to do together, it allows us to meet new people, and share our passion with them.

This year was a true balancing act! And to make matters more exciting, I’m going to be an older sister to my younger sister coming in January! It’s all so insane to think about how life changes so quickly! I just can’t wait to pick out her wardrobe!

I look forward to the new year! Not to make all these crazy goals for myself, but to continue pursuing the things I love, and doing better at it; challenging my capabilities, but remembering that my happiness is important; growing my blog while meeting new people along the way; and overall just being perfectly content with life like I am now ♡
